About the Grants Fund...

The Remember Ryan Foundation Inc., through The Remember Ryan Grants Fund, awards visual and performing arts mini-grants to public, private and parochial elementary schools in Northern Erie and Southern Niagara Counties, New York within the geographic boundaries of the following school districts: Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda, Niagara-Wheatfield, North Tonawanda, Starpoint, Tonawanda, and Sweethome. Programs sponsored by Orleans-Niagara BOCES are also eligible.

There are three categories of mini-grants funded as follows:

1. LEVEL ONE - up to $200

Events, activities or programs that involve a limited number of student participants such as a single classroom, grade level or grouping.

2. LEVEL TWO - up to $500

Events, activities or programs that involve the entire student body of an individual school building.

3. LEVEL THREE - up to $1000

Events, activities or programs for any number of students that are curriculum-based and involve multiple sessions over a period of weeks.

Have an idea but not sure if it fits?

Complete an application anyway.  As long as it’s related to the visual or performing arts, there’s a good chance it will be funded at some level.

DIRECT GIFTS PROGRAM

In addition to the Grants Fund, the Remember Ryan Foundation
offers a special non-competitive Direct Gifts Program.   A school library-media specialist may request any visual or performing arts reference book up to $75.00 in value for placement in the library reference collection.   Schools are eligible to receive one reference book per school year.

If the library-media specialist chooses not to make a request by September 30 of the  school year, any teacher in that building may then request up to $75.00 in visual or performing arts instructional books for  classroom use.  Only one such request per school per school year will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis.
Book requests listing title, author(s), copyright date and ISBN should be sent to:
